"Growing and flowing together"

ABOUT US

The Sarpy County and Cities Wastewater Agency (SCCWWA) was formed in 2017 to build a sanitary sewer system in the southern region of Sarpy County.

The SCCWWA includes  Sarpy County and the cities of Bellevue, Papillion, La Vista, Gretna, and Springfield.

Completion and delivery of this sewer line is the largest economic development opportunity in and for the state of Nebraska for the next two decades.

Commercial, residential and industrial development are expected to generate more than $37 billion in net new spending, $24 billion in net new earnings, and approximately 4,740 new full-time equivalent jobs over the next 30 years.

“This effort is a regional solution that no jurisdiction could tackle alone. It’s taken cooperation and partnership to get here, and I’m pleased to stand alongside our neighbors to create this system that will benefit not only Sarpy County and the Omaha Metro area, but the State of Nebraska as a whole.”
